Community Health Services at the Franciscan Women’s Health Center
The Franciscan Health Federal Way Church is committed to providing its members, as well as the community around it with access to quality health care. By investing in community health programs, the church hopes to build strong relationships with its members and strengthen its community.
One of the health programs that has been made available to the community is an after school program. This program helps children learn how to manage their own health. During this time, they learn how to apply for insurance, make sure they have all the proper information and prepare for a physical exam by getting a doctor’s checkup. The program also offers instruction about diet, nutrition, exercise and other health-related topics that kids will learn through a curriculum designed to help the children in the community to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
Another of the health programs offered by the church includes its aftercare services. Through its Aftercare Center, residents who need medical care can get the care they need before they leave the center for the day. These care centers offer a variety of medical services and they work to help the community maintain a healthy balance between their bodies and their lives. The aftercare services are provided at no cost and they are designed to teach families how to manage their health care expenses.
One of the best parts of the Franciscan Women’s Health Program is its community-building activities. One of these activities is the Healthy Aging Community, which is a program designed to make the entire community more healthy by providing activities such as cooking classes and health fairs.
Other community building activities include a volunteer effort that helps the community takes care of its streets. This is a service that helps the residents of the community identify road blockages, improve street lighting, clean out potholes and repair broken pavement.
Some health care centers offer a program called The Green Belt. This is a program that promotes community gardens and promotes healthy eating habits in the community by offering free home delivery of food to the residents of the area. By making healthy food available, residents in the community are able to eat healthy and live a healthier lifestyle.
Residents also have the opportunity to participate in community gardens, where they can pick their own fruits and vegetables. This way, they can see firsthand how their fruits and vegetables grow and harvest.
Community gardens are another great way to promote healthy living. Through the Green Belt program, residents can take the knowledge they have about gardening and grow their own garden to make the garden of their own, helping the community and themselves at the same time. All the fruit and vegetables they harvest from the garden are then given to the community or sold at the farmers market, helping the community grow healthy and delicious food. With these wonderful programs, residents can learn more about healthy living while taking advantage of community gardens.
Community gardens are just one of the many ways that health centers promote healthy lifestyles. There are many other activities that are available to residents to get involved with, such as the Healthy Eating and Living Services, which provide a wide variety of programs that promote the proper diet and exercise and the Healthy Eating and Living Center, which offers classes to teach residents how to prepare nutritious meals for their family members.
Another great program available through the Health Center is the Healthy Eating and Living Centers. This program encourages residents to start a garden on their own so that they can create fresh, nutritious vegetables, fruits, and flowers, and even some herbs and spices to take home and use to create healthy meals for their family. All of these foods can be grown in the community garden and delivered to the local family homes.
Other community activities are offered at the Health Center, such as the Healthy Living Services, which is one of the only health centers in the state to offer free education about healthy living and how to develop healthy eating habits. The Healthy Living Services also works to educate people on a variety of health care issues including cancer awareness, diabetes management and nutrition.
One of the best things about the Health Center is that all of the activities are supported through free community service. Residents get the chance to help design the services and programs that they want to offer at the center, whether it is free education community gardens, community building or volunteer services, to name a few. This is one place where you can go to enjoy and contribute to your community without breaking the bank.
